Job Description


ENSCO, Inc., Mission Systems Group (MSG) is seeking a Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Domain Technical Engineer to support a technical and operational support services contract.

The position is located in Suitland, Maryland.

Duties will include:

  • Provide quality assurance for SSA products & services in the DevTest environment prior to release for operational use following Conjunction Assessment methodologies
  • Use algorithms and mathematical approaches used for orbit determination and conjunction assessment.
  • Provide support of the integration and testing of third-party SSA data products and services and assist the operations team as needed.
Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • BS in astrodynamics, mathematics, physics, or related technical degree
  • 1-5 years of experience in related fields
  • Experience with orbit determination, orbital mechanics, covariance analysis, collision avoidance, statistics, or related field
  • Experience with applied mathematics related to statistical analysis
  • Experience with mathematical computing tools such as Matlab or Python
  • Experience with validation & Verification (V&V) of third party data products from the test environment to operations
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Qualifications Desired

  • MS preferred in astrodynamics, mathematics, physics, or related technical degree
