Job Title: Aircraft MechanicJob Description

Join our team as an Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Aviation Life Support Services. This role involves performing organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance, including inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment. You will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other employees. Responsibilities include installing and removing cartridge actuated devices and propulsion actuated devices, maintaining parachutes and seat survival kits, repairing and preserving pilots' personal equipment, assembling and inspecting safety/survival equipment, and briefing aircrew on the use and condition of survival gear. You will also manage programs related to foreign object damage (FOD), hazardous waste, and tool control.

Work Environment

The position is based in a hangar, shop, and flight line environment, part of a program currently in its first year out of five.

Off-site service may be required for assigned detachments for approximately 30-35% of the year. C

andidates must be open to working any shifts, including options for 5x8s (Monday-Friday) or 4x10s (Friday-Monday). Shifts available include First Shift (starting at or after 4 AM, before noon), Second Shift (starting at or after noon, before 8 PM) with a $1.10 shift differential, and Third Shift (starting at or after 8 PM, before 4 AM) with a $1.30 shift differential.
