Role Overview: The company is currently seeking a Non-Destructive Inspection Technician to be responsible for conducting inspections on aircraft, engines, and ground support equipment using non-destructive methods. The primary focus will be on ensuring structural integrity and performing fluid analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct NDI Level II Examiner duties in compliance with NAS-410 standards and hold certification for specific techniques.
  • Carry out maintenance both on and off equipment.
  • Independently perform certified tasks with high accuracy.
  • Utilize various non-destructive inspection techniques such as radiographic, ultrasonic, eddy current, and more to inspect aircraft, engine components, and ground support equipment.
  • Execute NDI testing following relevant technical guidelines.
  • Report and document defects detected during inspections, ensuring timely maintenance actions are taken.
  • Utilize CAMS computers efficiently.
  • Monitor process controls, conduct operator maintenance of NDI equipment, and uphold safety and tool control protocols.
  • Maintain technical orders and tool kits as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned, including temporary duty assignments and travel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in English language skills.
  • Possess the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct tests, calibrations, and evaluations accurately.
  • Have a thorough understanding of expected defects and their specifications.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Experience and Education:

  • Completion of the Department of Defense NDI School or equivalent is mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is a must.
  • Minimum of three years recent aircraft and component NDI experience in techniques such as eddy current, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, etc., is required.
  • Familiarity with relevant Navy instructions, maintenance manuals, and company procedures is necessary.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Tasks will be carried out in a hangar/shop/flight line setting, involving physical movements associated with such environments.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and possess adequate vision capabilities.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts and schedules as assigned.
