Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Our PMHNPs work alongside IBH's excellent psychiatrists and therapists to provide clinical medication management and therapy. PMHNPs are an integral part of our treatment team These are
in office positions at our Outpatient Clinics.
We do not hire remotely.
Psych NP Salary and Benefits
- Salary starting at $110,000/year
- Quarterly bonus with earning potential up to $200,000

Psych NP Responsibilities and Requirements
- Diagnose and treat common acute psychiatric problems, illness, and crises
- Psychopharmacological management in collaboration with psychiatrist
- Provide individual psychotherapy
- Care for and counsel clients with common identified chronic psychiatric conditions
- Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary services for clients with complex psychiatric problems
- Endorse Brainsway TMS Therapy
- Monitor common health care problems and refer for specialized medical treatment as needed
- Provide comprehensive family psychiatricmental health education
- Work with clients and their families in anticipation of developmental milestones, life cycle events
- Perform or recommend ageappropriate screening procedures
- Promote wellness oriented selfcare
- Advocate for psychiatricmental health clients and their families
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of Alabama
- Ability to work without direct inperson supervision and practice autonomously
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and electronic medical records.
