Life Sciences Undergraduate Intern (Medical Affairs)

Duration: 8 weeks (June 7 – August 2)

Position Overview

Are you interested in Life sciences, research and learning more about the pharmaceutical industry? This internship is a hands-on opportunity to be a part of innovating processes within the clinical space.

Life sciences organizations are under pressure to innovate their processes as fast as possible with thirty of the top global pharmaceutical companies working with Cognizant. As a Medical affairs intern, you will be a part of redefining the way life sciences companies do digital and offer solutions specific to the challenges of these companies. This includes re-engineering and consulting services, lab automation services, biomarker research and knowledge process outsourcing where you will be speaking with leaders and staff from the pharmaceutical industry.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Must be fully/permanently authorized to work in the US, Cognizant cannot provide sponsorship for this role (CPT/OPT not eligible).
  • Enrolled in a related Undergraduate program (Preferred majors include Health Sciences and Medical studies) in an accredited College or University within the US with a graduation date between December, 2024 and June, 2025
  • Experience in Clinical Trials or Pharma background
  • Knowledge gathering from various sources – key opinion leaders, medical journals, industry papers, interpersonal partnership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with global project teams
  • Available to intern onsite for the full 8-week internship from June 7, 2024 – August 2, 2024

Location(s) Internship

Interns will be assigned to the Cognizant office in Bridgewater, NJ where they will work alongside other experienced Cognizant associates delivering technology solutions.

Interns will be assigned to the Cognizant offices in either Teaneck, NJ or Mesa, AZ where they will work alongside other expert Cognizant associates delivering technology solutions. Please note that this role will be hybrid which will require associates to be in the office at least two days a week.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
