Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform process audits as per established schedule to verify the implementation of the appropriate control plan.
  • Perform first off audits in your assigned department to ensure all required information was completed prior to the production run.
  • Perform receiving inspections as required to ensure all purchased components met the established specifications.
  • Assist the team in developing, revising and maintaining the work guidance instructions with respect to the approved control plan.
  • Create and distribute quality alerts as needed.
  • Initiate and ensure supervision is established for all required sorting activities.
Who we are looking for
  • Previous experience in a leadership position would be an asset.
  • Internal auditing experience in TS-16949 would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of AIAG core tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, etc.
  • Ability to make decisions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
Your preferred qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to work your assigned shift and support overtime including nights and weekends depending on customer requirements.
  • Strong Computer skills especially with work and excel.
