JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)
  • Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift gates, light-duty vehicles and any other company-owned equipment
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift gates, light-duty vehicles and any company-owned equipment
  • Create and complete work order entries. Maintain work order and vehicle maintenance records
  • Utilize the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders
  • Conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions such as regular servicing of vehicles including oil changes, and equipment inspections
  • Electrical diagnostics, repair and replacement
  • Lead and/or assist with the physical parts purchasing, inventory, receiving and proper charge out of parts to work orders
  • Performs general cleaning and repair duties
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 year of school and 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
  • Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions outside
  • CDL Class A-Preferred
  • 609 HVAC Certification-Preferred
  • Brake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Working knowledge of computer-based
  • Diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers
  • Diagnostic equipment, major shop tools, and a secure toolbox will be provided by the company
