The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for an In-Game Host to serve as one of the main personalities for all Maverick's home games. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat and outgoing personality along with a strong on-camera presence to connect with all spectators at events. Host duties can also extend to non-gameday events and requested community, fan, or sponsor events on a per-request basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Host will execute all on-ice and in-stands promotions in accordance with the game script and sponsorship contracts.
  • Host will interact with fans in attendance at games and other team-related events.
  • Host will be responsible for preparing for interviews with scheduled guests, as well as impromptu interviews that occur.
  • Host will attend all pregame meetings related to game presentation on gamedays .

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Able to demonstrate a strong on-camera presence, highlighting poise, professionalism, likeability, approachability, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Creative and innovative personality with the ability to improvise when needed.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Self-starter, dedicated, and highly motivated.
  • Ability to take feedback and implement into performance.
  • Present yourself in a professional manner while in public and while working with internal staff.
