About the Position: This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizied to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
  • Provide Tier I/II help desk support for Irwin Army Community Hospital, Warrior Transition Battalion, DENTAC, VETAC and all outlying clinics.
  • Troubleshoot computer problems determining the nature of customer's problems.
  • Initiate diagnostics and use advanced diagnostics utilities to recover lost files, folders, disk and memory problems.
  • Provide analytical and evaluative duties related to personal computers for both software and hardware problems.
  • Install, set up, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot various types of microcomputer systems with diverse computer platforms and peripherals to be used via the LAN (Local Area Network).
  • Coordinate support actions with user, management, contractor personnel, maintenance vendors, and higher levels as required.
  • Train customers and less experienced customer support employees in the use of systems and applications supported by the customer support organizations.
