The Supply Chain Analytics Data Scientist will support the Commercial Cost Analytics Product Team. The work will focus on analyzing commercial data to identify

error-state or opportunities in Ford Motor Companies $100B yearly Production spend. The Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics (ML/AI, LLM, optimization) and latest tools (Google Cloud Platform, Python, etc.) to solve complex business problems, improve opperational efficients, and make data-driven decisions that impact Supply Chain. The Data Scientist will research, develop, deploy and maintain products for Supply Chain to consume. Products will focus on

Purchase Orders, Raw Materials, Claims.

Primary Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or data science, engineering, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative area
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from data
  • Experience using SQL to extract, clean, and transform data in large, complex, nested databases
  • Experience using programming languages such as Python or R in a cloud platform
  • Experience doing research, analysis, data science or solution development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong intellectual curiosity

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Experience in statistical analysis and modeling
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in at least one area of supply chain operations, such as pricing, procurement, spend forecasting or benchmarking
  • Experience developing and delivering projects in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or data science, industrial engineering, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative area
  • 1+ years of experience as a researcher, analyst, data scientist or solution developer with one or more of the following analytics tools: R, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, MINITAB, CPLEX, Python, Any Logic, Qlikview, QlikSense, Google Cloud Platform, Hadoop, SAP or equivalent college course experience

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in computer or data science, engineering, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative area
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, Alteryx, R, SQL, Tableau, MINITAB, CPLEX, Qlikview, QlikSense, Hadoop
  • 3+ years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis, modeling, optimization
  • 1+ years of experience in GCP Big Query and Vertex AI
  • 3+ year ML experience using python
