Summary

The Medical Technologist (MT) position is located in the Specialty and Acute Care Service line at Bedford, Massachusetts. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.



Duties

Medical Technologist at this level carries out the day-to-day operations in the laboratory under the close supervision of a MT at or above the full performance level. This would include routine testing, quality control, routine maintenance of instrumentation and troubleshooting. Duties include, but not limited to:

  • The MT develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results ensuring all laboratory regulatory requirements are met. The work performed is in a variety of laboratory disciplines, such as chemistry, flow cytometry, microbiology, immunology, hematology, urinalysis and immunohematology.
  • Monitors quality control systems and measures.
  • Collaborates in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Provides education for laboratory healthcare professionals and the public in a professional, courteous and effective manner.

Work Schedule: Full time; Monday-Friday. 8:00a-4:30p.
