We are looking to add a superb, highly motivated Financial Controller to our team. In this position, you will direct and manage the accounting operations, including the production of internal and external financial reports, providing constant visibility of our cash position, maintenance of accounting records, and ensuring accuracy of reported financial results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
The successful candidate will be one that is meticulous, structured, and disciplined and has a high attention to detail. They must also be able to work with our engineering and supply management teams to ensure proper recording and costing of inventory purchases and product development projects.
This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for most of the details of the accounting process and expansion of your team as the company grows.

Reports to: VP of Finance
Responsibilities:

  • Manage all of accounting activities including overseeing general ledger, cash management, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, fixed assets and internal control policies and procedures.
  • Cost Accounting and inventory Reporting
  • Manage cash flow and provide periodic reporting as required to management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records from a manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure accurate and complete financial records and reporting, in compliance with legal requirements and US GAAP standards
  • Manage federal and state tax compliance including income, payroll and sales and use tax reporting and filings. Support and covenant reporting to lenders
  • Be the point person for NetSuite ERP system and manage conversion from QuickBooks.
  • Work with outsourced service providers covering accounting, tax, benefits and legal.
  • Assist in the renewal of insurance policies and benefit plans.
  • Responsible for timely month-end close process and preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Direct and coordinate annual audit with outside auditors.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting.
  • 5-7 years of progressive Accounting experience with 2+ years as a Controller in a fast growth environment.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting and inventory tracking experience a must.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks.
  • Experience with NetSuite a big plus.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to perform with substantial latitude at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
  • Comfortable taking initiative for improving processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment.
