(Senior) Director, Peptide Drug Delivery - Permanent - Lexington, MA

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a (Senior) Director, Peptide Drug Delivery to join an innovative biotech. This is a permanent role located in Lexington, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of discovery, bioconjugation, biochemistry and characterization of peptide-based therapeutics for delivery across the Blood-Brain Barrier.

Skills & Requirements:

PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a related field with at least 10 years of industry experienceDemonstrated leadership and management experience with a track record of leading teams and projects to successful endpoints and commercializationExperience with bioconjugation of enzymes and oligonucleotidesDeep experience with peptide and protein chemistry with emphasis on optimization of in vivo propertiesExperience in developing nucleic acid-based therapeuticsExperience in CNS delivery strongly preferredAbility to build and maintain collaborations with industry and academic partnersExpertise in intellectual property protection and expansionFamiliarity with in vitro and/or in vivo screening methodsStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skillsThe (Senior) Director, Peptide Drug Delivery will:Leverage vast knowledge in peptide chemistry, oligonucleotide chemistry and conjugation chemistry to discover, engineer or improve performance of existing and future compoundsManage a high-performance group of scientists and researchersManage and lead projects in a matrixed environmentAbility to mentor, retain and recruit top talentProvide strategic direction and leadership in all areas of chemical biology If you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Danielle Bahnasy at (+1) or
