THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Race & Sports Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Race & Sportsbook department. The supervisor ensures all guests receive the highest level of service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and property policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.00

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee day to day operations in the book, including ensuring state gaming regulations and Title 31 requirements are adhered to
• Supervise staff on-duty and schedule all breaks
• Ensure all department policies are adhered to
• Educate guests on how to wager on all racing and sporting events
• Handle any guest disputes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• Supervisory/managerial experience
• Experience working in a similar resort setting
• Working knowledge of Race and Sports terminology
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Able to lead and mentor a team
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Working knowledge of Race and Sports terminology
