Summary

DATA Operations Coordinator supports the Director of the Center for Data-Driven Drug Development and Treatment Assessment (DATA), an Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC), in managing Center's operations. The DATA team member in this position is expected to:
  • Assist DATA Director and DATA Managing Director in sustaining the Center?s critical operations.
  • Provide guidance to the Center leadership regarding strategic matters, compliance with NSF program rules, other applicable regulations, and policies.
  • Support the Center management in maintaining relations with industry members.
  • Create, review, or update templates, governance documents, standard operating procedures, and other Center materials and documents as needed.
This is a fully remote, time-limited, part-time position with an anticipated time commitment of 4 hours per week.

Required Qualifications*
  • At least one year of experience managing an IUCRC.
  • Law degree (LLM, SJD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of NSF IUCRC program rules under the solicitation NSF
  • Familiarity with DATA?s internal operations and processes.
  • Experience administering organizational bylaws.
  • Experience developing operating procedures and policies.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements for regulated data (health information, human subject research data).
  • Experience managing internal research award competitions.
  • Working knowledge of applicable University policies and procedures (e.g., in the areas of research administration, intellectual property, conflicts of interest, data compliance).
  • User familiarity with eResearch systems, including eRPM and eRRM.
Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
