Position Summary
Neogene is looking for a motivated Sr Scientist, Quality Control Analytical to join the Santa Monica team. This role involves managing the QC Analytical laboratory, overseeing test result reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and validate analytical methods
- Review SOPs and regulatory submissions
- Conduct laboratory investigations
- Monitor data trends and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with various teams to support product quality
- Perform quality control testing and documentation
- Oversee lab maintenance and equipment calibration
- Lead complex analytical lab investigations
- Provide supervisory oversight as needed
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience in cGMP environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in various analytical techniques
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays when necessary
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree in relevant scientific discipline
- 5+ years of experience in quality control testing or related field
- Experience in Cell or Gene Therapy
- Experience in method validation and qualification
