We are looking for a motivated individual with leadership skills to join our team in Crookston, MN as a Shift Administrator. The purpose of this position is to assist the Shift Supervisors in directing process and maintenance activities of the factory in a manner that produces quality products at the lowest unit cost. The primary duty is to provide supervision and leadership to support overall shift operations. During non processing times, the Shift Administrator directs and assists in the mechanical repair of equipment as well as the installation of capital equipment.

The principle accountabilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Lead and promote a positive workplace culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability. Produce a quality product within specifications with minimal waste of product or resources, while complying with all company and regulatory standards and specifications. Ensure maximum factory output through prudent factory operation. Ensure all safety, sanitation, process accounting, product quality, environmental, and staffing functions comply with company policy and procedures. Conduct observational safety assessments, enforce safety work rules and ensure shift safety meetings are conducted in a meaningful and timely manner. Communicate clearly and effectively with crew on processing and labor-management topics. Identify sugarbeet delivery problems and working with the Agriculture Department to correct. Ensure maintenance, quality control, and shipping functions are performing within established guidelines. Ensure compliance with all good manufacturing practices.

To be successful in this position requires strong analytical and computer skills, an aptitude for shift work in a process manufacturing environment, as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This position requires knowledge of the sugarbeet refining process, product quality standards, HACCP, sanitation procedures, good manufacturing practices, and environmental and OSHA compliance. This knowledge is normally obtained through the completion of a four year degree in management, engineering, business or other related field.
