Job Summary

The teaching faculty are the strength of community of West Nottingham Academy, striving to provide the support, care, and attention necessary to meet the students where they are to develop understanding and mastery across the curriculum. The teaching faculty plan an important role in the life of the school and are in almost constant collaboration with other staff members, administrators, parents, students, and the Head of School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teach courses in your department.

Employ creative curriculum strategies to enhance students' interest and understanding.

Employ a variety of classroom techniques to inspire learning, including student-centered project-based learning.

Serve as an advisor to a small group of students.

Attend departmental and faculty meetings, as well as all school events.

Coach/Assist 2 seasons of after school sports and/or activities.

Duty Team Responsibilities – 1 weekend every 4 weekends, and 1 night during the school week.

Bachelor's degree in related field required, Masters preferred.
At least three years of teaching experience preferred.
Boarding School experience preferred.
Passion working with students.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity.
A high degree of cultural competency.
