Summary

This position is located within the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area (PWA), at the Tropical Plant Genetic Resources & Disease Research Unit in Hilo, HI.

In this position, you will help safeguard tropical fruits and nuts for future generations by efficiently and strategically collecting, conserving, regenerating, evaluating and distributing tropical genetic resources.



Duties
  • Prepares solutions and reagents for use in the laboratory, field, or greenhouse.
  • Plans various steps in experiment or project and interprets findings.
  • Determines the kinds of tests and observations to be made.
  • Maintains inventory of chemicals.
