Overview

Goldbelt Glacier is accelerating healthcare delivery and providing superior force health readiness across the military, federal, and civilian landscapes. Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.

Summary:

The Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) Program was established to expand access to confidential, face-to-face counseling and reduce the barriers and stigma often associated with seeking counseling support. In 2007, the Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counselor position was added to the MFLC Program to provide additional nonmedical counseling opportunities to the military service members' families by supporting their dependents within schools, child and youth development centers (CDCs), and child-oriented programs they attend (e.g., summer camps).

The Child Development Center (CDC) counselor positions have the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at Child Development Centers. We are currently seeking a qualified CHILD Counselor (CYB) to support the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program in New Mexico. Salary and leveling commensurate with experience.

MFLC CHILD counselors provide services to children of military service members to increase their ability to develop strong relationships, solve problems, and adequately express and manage their emotions. MFLC CHILD counselors are assigned to Child Developmental Centers (CDCs) on installation. MFLC CHILD counselors work closely with military branch points of contact (POCs) to ensure that program services are provided within the scope of the contract and meet the needs of the assigned installation.
