Baystate Health, the leading healthcare provider in western Massachusetts and the location of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate Health, is in need of a per diem Endocrinologist to join our expanding team of 5 endocrinologists, 4 advanced practitioners, and a dedicated support team that includes diabetes educators, registered dietitians, and registered nurses.


Position Highlights:

  • This role offers great flexibility – whether you prefer working in outpatient general endocrinology, handling inpatient consults, or taking weekend call, the choice is yours
  • Outpatient services are mainly at our clinic in Springfield. Inpatient consults are done at Baystate Medical Center, with endocrine fellows leading the call schedule.
  • Our comprehensive program features a Diabetes Self-Management Education program, a specialized thyroid clinic, and a multidisciplinary thyroid cancer program.
  • Baystate fosters an environment of openness and inclusivity that encourages growth, education, and embracing differences.
  • Per diem physicians are eligible to join Baystate's retirement plan and receive professional liability insurance, including tail coverage.

Qualifications:

Endocrinologists must be board certified or eligible and demonstrate a strong commitment to Baystate's values of teamwork, bravery, excellence, and continuous learning.
