RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Principal R&D Engineer will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.
    • Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
  • Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
  • Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
  • Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
  • Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
  • Can supervise other team members and own critical roles and responsibilities for product portfolio

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
  • Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
  • Experience in C++, object oriented programming, C++11/14 standards, and design patterns;
  • Experience in the Linux operating system;
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, and debugging;
  • Experience with ASIC power grid simulations for IR drop and electromigration analysis or similar computational/simulation methods in mechanical and fluids domain;
  • Experience with Python based software development;
  • Experience with understanding fundamental concepts in electronic design at gate level or transistor level;
  • Experience with software design and development involving multiple engineers
  • Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting from home office.
