Based on the candidate's expertise, possible teaching duties include writing and teaching for athletic band front ensemble(s) (including but not limited to auxiliary percussion, mallets, synthesizers, etc.) and/or battery percussion, instruction on drum set, and music industry-oriented course design and instruction. The position also involves active recruiting and outreach at the graduate and undergraduate levels through maintaining a national profile as an artist-pedagogue; presentations and performances at conferences; and leading clinics in local and regional schools. Additional service to the Department will include coordination of the percussion area, oversight/maintenance of percussion inventory, and service on University, School, and Department committees as assigned.

We seek a highly motivated colleague with strong interpersonal, communication, collaborative, and organizational skills.
