CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs routine and highly complex laboratory procedures under supervision of the Embryologist.
  • Modifies clinical laboratory methods or techniques as needed. Maintains quality control and assurance procedures in the laboratory.
  • Performs troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of analytical instrumentation. Monitors embryo development through different stages.
  • Prepares media. Updates patient records throughout the fertilization process.
  • Maintains current understanding of human reproductive biology, infertility, and assisted reproductive technology.
  • Maintains accurate patient care records and retains the confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
