We are seeking a Vulnerability Manager to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a key part in inspiring change and continual improvement. The Vulnerability Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and streamlining the vulnerability management program for Brookfield Properties. The Lead is responsible for overseeing the continual enhancement of our vulnerability platforms, working with security and business teams to generate creative solutions to mitigate risk, and ensuring our business units can be measured towards compliance performance indicators set by Brookfield Properties policy. You will be responsible for sharing and explaining these metrics to senior leaders and remediation teams across multiple Brookfield Properties companies. This position will also own the relationship with our platform vendors to drive enhancements to satisfy internal customer requests.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Understand, design, and develop vulnerability mitigation strategies, prioritize identified vulnerabilities, and manage risk associated with vulnerabilities
  • Establish and drive metrics, analytics, reporting, and a roadmap for continual program improvement
  • Maintain awareness of new and upcoming vulnerabilities and coordinate across teams to determine the impact
  • Collaborate with IT patching teams to enhance the vulnerability management processes
  • Plan, track, and execute platform enhancements with multiple vendors based on feedback from vulnerability teams
  • Provide risk analyses for emerging vulnerabilities and off innovative technical solutions
  • Implement automation and efficiency measures to streamline vulnerability management activities
  • Understand, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of vulnerability management efforts

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security/Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (machine learning, statistics, mathematics, etc.)
  • A strong background in Security, with 2-4 years of experience including vulnerability management, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and risk management
  • Previous experience using vulnerability management platforms
  • Proficiency in project management within a Cybersecurity context
  • Experience in product management including requirements gathering, feature tracking
  • Technical understanding of network and system architecture, operating systems, and common vulnerabilities
  • Previous experience in an environment with extensive OT/IoT presence
  • Experience automating common tasks
  • Able to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood and authoritative manner
  • Ability to find a balance between Security and Business objectives, by creating a culture where security is major consideration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
