What You Will Do:

  • Monitor and maintain fire alarm system
  • Monitor and maintain fire sprinkler system
  • Monitor and maintain basic utilities (water, gas, power)
  • Monitor and maintain the air compressors
  • Provide proper maintenance for both the inside and outside of the facility
  • Provide input as a member of the plant Safety Committee
  • Monitor and maintain the plant security system
  • Monitor and maintain pest control system
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of information maintained and supplied to others
  • Accountable for any information needed by the Quality Steering Team

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Asheville, NC
  • Work week and shift: 1st Shift Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Compensation package offered: $32.00 per hour, some weekends may apply

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years of previous experience in facility maintenance
  • Must know about building operating systems
  • Knowledge of NWA management practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, and OSHA requirements
  • 5 years experience understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • 5 years of basic computer skills
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience in equipment diagnostics and repair
  • Extensive experience in equipment diagnostics and repair
  • Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities, experience with industrial electrical applications, and/or equivalent job experience in electricity, mechanics, compressors, air and refrigeration, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, boiler operations and carpentry
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to enforce security regulatory systems
  • Ability to make schedules and maintain required records.
