EPLAN USA provides software and service solutions in the fields of electrical, automation and mechatronic engineering. The company develops one of the world's leading design software solutions for machine and panel builders. EPLAN was founded in 1984 and is part of the owner operated Friedhelm Loh Group. The Friedhelm Loh Group operates worldwide with more than twelve production sites and over ninety-five international subsidiaries.
As the Director Marketing Journey, you are responsible to develop and implement the series of connected experiences that customers desire and need to travel the end-to-end journey from prospect to customer to loyal advocate. You will oversee the implementation of the strategy including campaigns, events, digital marketing, media, and advertising. You will work closely with sales team, enabling them to meet their revenue objectives by providing them with appropriate messaging, content, and tools. You will guide the day-to-day activities of the customer journey team and collaborate closely with the corporate teams to develop and deliver communications strategies for the organization. You will oversee social media presence and media programs to improve brand awareness and recognition.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal clients and SMEs to define business needs and objectives and develop appropriate communication strategies to achieve desired goals.
  • Interface with EPLAN headquarters in Germany and EPLAN affiliate businesses
  • Participate in establishment of annual marketing plans and budget and manage marketing budget on a regular basis to ensure that year-end totals are within approved budget limits.
  • Create, implement, and oversee communication programs that effectively promote and build brand recognition and brand loyalty in the market.
  • Manage and implement marketing automation process from campaign development and execution to analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and execute dynamic marketing campaigns via email marketing, workflows, re-targeting, SEO, paid and organic search to drive lead generation and support overall company strategy.
  • Monitor and report on marketing campaigns, lead generation and engagement through marketing automation tools.
  • Manage all agency, media, advertising, channel network, and technology partner relationships to ensure consistency of messaging and adherence to corporate brand guidelines and corporate image (CI)
  • Participate and lead events, live and virtual, as necessary.
  • Implement and oversee corporate programs, such as the EPLAN Education Program, to effectively promote and build recognition in the market.
  • Manage all suppliers and vendors to support department, as necessary.
  • Provide key account and distributor support, as necessary.


Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or marketing, MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' professional experience in branding, marketing communications and product promotions. Relevant industry and/or agency experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' prior supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word (advanced level), Excel (intermediate or advanced level), and PowerPoint (advanced level) required.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience with graphic design tools (Adobe, QuarkXpress, InDesign, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience with CRM and Marketing Automation tools (Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, Pardot, etc.) required.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills required.
