Job Description

Works in conjunction with Director Finance responsible for all financial matters of La Costa Resort and Spa. Of major importance is the direct oversight of the accounting disciplines production and monthly financial statement generation and review. Provide support and financial information for all Department Managers.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Supervise the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Cashier functions.
  2. Reviews all journal entries, which create general ledger and financial statements.
  3. Assist the accounting department with financial information and forms for tax compliance needs
  4. Assist in constructing the annual budgets and all forecast projections
  5. Set or revise department organizational policy when necessary
  6. Monitor performance of financial employees and recommend action to human resources department when necessary
  7. Approve procurement
  8. Liaison with all department managers to provide support and information regarding operational numbers of their department.
  9. Provide all ad hoc reports and projects as requested on-site and from the corporate office.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting is required.
  • Five years hotel accounting experience is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, ability to motivate staff and be an effective leader is required.

Salary: $$120k - $135k

The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate's qualifications and/or experience.
