Nursing Supervisor – Full Time, Texas Health Azle

Location: Texas Health Azle, 108 Denver Trail Azle TX 76020

Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours weekly, Nights

Nursing Supervisor: Promotes shared decision making through collaborative/consultative relationships with nursing administration, department leadership, general nursing staff and other department staff.

Texas Health Azle is a 36-bed, community-based hospital serving the tri-county area since the 1950s. We provide exceptional care to the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and surrounding areas.

We're accredited through The Joint Commission for disease specific care of Chest Pain patients and we are accredited through the Texas Department of Health & Human Services as a Level IV Support Stroke facility, a Level IV Trauma Center and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We specialize in outpatient surgery, rehabilitative physical and hand therapy, and advanced imaging like mammography and CT scanning. What You'll Do

  • OPERATIONS/LEADERSHIPRepresents facility administration after business hours and on weekends
  • PATIENT THROUGHPUT/BED MANAGEMENTFacilitates appropriate utilization of beds, assuring that patient needs, diagnosis, and acuity are appropriately matched to the unit scope of service.
  • CUSTOMER SUPPORT/PATIENT EXPERIENCEServes as a patient advocate including implementation of Service Recovery (HEART) activities. Demonstrates cultural awareness communication and supportive skills in supporting patients and families.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

What You'll Need

  • Associate's Degree Nursing is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency – required.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) is required.
  • Three (3) years of Emergency and/or critical care nursing is preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse license is required.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required within 90 Days of hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support is required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within 90 Days of hire and must be maintained annually.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within 90 Days of hire.
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course is required within 12 months of hire.
