Lead Housekeeper

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist supervisor in scheduling of daily functions of Environmental Services between various programs and facilities.Assist supervisor with the ordering of supplies.Assist supervisor in the development of and maintaining of departmental operating budget.Manage direct reports through observation, timely reviews and scheduling.Continue to maintain assigned buildings or projects as directed by supervisor.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stoop, bend and climb for extensive periods of time.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Must be able to work from a 5-foot stepladder.Must be able to work around odors, chemicals and extreme temperatures.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of CARF and state regulations is preferred.Must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Should have 2 years of supervisory experience.5 years' experience in an institutional housekeeping/janitorial position is preferred.Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.Must have high school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of potential safety hazards of using equipment.Knowledge of universal precautions and blood borne pathogens.Knowledge of laundry and housekeeping skills.Interact effectively with staff, patients and supervisor.Willingness to work beyond normal hours and weekends may be necessary.If in recovery, 1 year of continued sobriety preferred.
