Job Description

Full Stack Developer (SS&C Technologies, Inc., Windsor, CT): The Full Stack Developer will work closely with the Product team to understand requirements and business specifications around Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics, and Investment Accounting.

This role works as part of a larger Scrum Development team focused on driving innovation across the Aloha application. Additionally, the Full Stack Developer writes Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS code in a Node.
JS environment, with a MongoDB data store.

The Full Stack Developer will attend sprint meetings with team members to define and analyze development requirements and provide development work breakdowns and estimates.


Specific responsibilities include:

Collaborating with Product Owners to develop the web-based Aloha application; Writing complete, tested, performant, and documented Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS code; Creating, enhancing, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Nest.

JS and MongoDB; Collaborating with stakeholders, users, build teams, QA, and other development partners; Participating actively in discussions, presentations, and decisions about front-end and API development; Implementing new technologies to maximize application performance; Working on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years of experience in a front-end development role.

Alternatively, will accept Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

Must have:
Proven ability with Angular development. Proven ability with hands-on development participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Understanding of the MEAN application technology stack. Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills. Proven ability with Angular 2+ frameworks. Proven ability with MongoDB. Proven ability with HTML 5, CSS, Webpack, Babel, NPM, JSON, and Bootstrap. Proven ability with CSS precompilers (Sass and LESS). Proven ability with RESTful APIs, GIT, and continuous Integration using Jenkins.
