Located in Santa Clara, CA

Day Shift: 6am-2:30pm (OT starts at either 5am or 4am)

Swing Shift: 2:45pm-11:15pm (OT will go until 12:15am or 1:15am)

Pay Rate: $21-$23 hr.

Job Description:

  • Electrical emitters inside balloon delivered catheter.
  • Microscope intensive, connecting electrodes
  • Balloon Catheter Assembly - length cutting, sealing, crimping, folding

Line Clearance - set up stations with materials, tools and instructions

Building subassemblies and final assemblies based on instructions

Documenting all details of work done on the lot.

Assist with development of next generation

Stations:

Subassembly

1. Wire Prep - microscope, tweezers, snap gauge, pliers, cutters - installing 4 wires withing shaft and marker band

2. Crimping - manually crimping shaft and wires

3. Interstation - cut wires to length crimp inner sleeves at the end of catheter

4. Inner Emitter Assembly - placing emitters that send radiofrequency waves into the right location within emitter, UV light and adhesive application using Loctite.

5. Outer Adhesive, snap gauge, loctite, UV light, razorblade, manual dexterity

6. Inspect - Generator to test emitters. Visual inspection and testing power with micrometer

Final Assembly

1. Welding Machine - bonding balloon to the shaft

2. RX Port Forming - "Rapid Exchange" loading mandrill and trimming mandrill. inserting wire to certain length.

3. Distal to Proximal -ruler to verify length

4. Hub Assembly loctite UV curing, the hub is the three way port between the catheter and the entry port for assembly.

5. Leak Test - flush catheter and verifying no liquid comes out.

6. Testing Pleat and fold - balloon folded and inserted in shaft.

7. Heat Seal - load tip of catheter into oven for sealing to occur.

8. Connector Assembly - catheter's connection to device for power is installed onto catheter.
