Pay$27.35 per hour
Job PurposeResolve production process area abnormalities (process/associate changes, non-conformances, down time issues, resource shortages, etc.) by identification, execution, training and communication to ensure harmonious flow within the area of responsibility.
Key Accountabilities- Conduct assigned checks & apply appropriate action according to plant/dept. policies and procedures to ensure SEQCDM.
- Train associates per process requirements utilizing the operation standards, procedures and other specialized training to develop production associates as experts in the process.
- Monitor conditions within the area and react accordingly to prevent negative production impact.
- Monitor and communicate prior day/shift results through reviewing shift communication (daily report, visual management board, pre-shift communication, email, etc.) and providing continuous communication in order to direct an effective team and apply PDCA.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of process area tools, materials and equipment to appropriately react and prevent outflow/ negative impact to the department.
- Execute nonconforming product containment/repair and reporting to prevent outflow within the area.
- Develop capability of self through training, mentoring, and sharing experiences to facilitate growth.
- Actively participate in dept. initiatives such as Monozukuri and loss elimination to engage the team, build morale and promote continuous improvement.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience:
- 1 year experience in Manufacturing leadership related field
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Effectively communicate/train associates
- Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate (Consensus building skills)
- Crisis management (PPA development)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time and multi-task
- Nonconforming procedure - Knowledge of QMS
- Basic computer knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of the SEQCDM guidelines/requirements within area of responsibility
- Will require standing for long durations of time
- Able to work in a fast pace production area
- Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
- Daily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime as required (will vary)
- Able to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time as requested
- Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
