Job Summary and Qualifications

The Wound Care / Ostomy Nurse is a nurse who demonstrates expertise in a specialized area of Wound and Ostomy. As a member of the health team, he/she collaborates with the caregiver, manager, physician, and all disciplines to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of an individual or group of patients utilizing research studies to change and improve practice. He/She also is involved in staff development activities to assist nurses to gain theoretical and clinical competencies in Wound and Ostomy Care.

In This Role You Will Have:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
  • 1 year of RN experience in Wound Care
  • One year of acute care experience
  • BSN is preferred
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • Wound Care/Ostomy experience preferred
