Our client, Yahoo Finance, is looking for a confident, highly motivated, proactive Booker to join the team as a temporary contractor (with option to extend) in New York City.

As a Booker, you will be responsible for securing interviews with high-profile guests, markets strategists and newsmaker. You perform your best under deadline pressure and know what it takes to get the exclusive. You must have excellent people skills and understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships with potential guests. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and want to contribute to something great every single day.

Book guests under the deadline pressure of a daily live showTrack down difficult-to-find people using social media and other toolsWork collaboratively with co-workers to determine the best approach to securing high-profile interviewsConduct in-depth research and pre-interviews (as well as suggest questions for the host)

Pitchunique stories and guests of interest to our audienceCoordinate and produce segmentsResearch a wide range of electoral, political, international, and economic topicsWhat You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or relevant experience 3+ years of prior television (or similar) experienceAbility to work independently or with a larger group as needs dictateExperience in a live control roomStrong writing skills and editorial judgmentA passion for current events
