Essential Functions

  • Providing Plant Support for Niagara Facilities
    • Offering assistance and expertise to plant maintenance and automation teams
    • Assisting with necessary repairs on production machinery
    • Tackling complex machine electrical issues through troubleshooting and repair
  • Automated Upgrades
    • Conducting root cause analysis for automated machine upgrades
    • Exploring innovative technologies for enhanced output and reduced labor
  • Technician Training
    • Sharing knowledge with plant electrical and automation technicians
    • Identifying training opportunities for team development and reporting to Technical Engineering Manager

  • Travel Requirements: Approximately 100% of the year

Competencies

  • Proficiency in, but not restricted to:
    • AB Automation software
    • Siemens Automation software
    • B&R system knowledge for troubleshooting
    • Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
    • Often deployed for plant support independently with minimal supervision
    • Frequently collaborating with plant electrical maintenance staff
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of taking initiative
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Adept at executing tasks in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Exercise sound judgment and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4-6 Years – Experience in Field or a similar manufacturing environment
    • 2-4 Years – Experience in managing people/projects

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 6 Years – Experience in Field or a similar manufacturing environment
    • 2 Years – Experience in managing people/projects

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Hourly

$40.97 - $57.35 / Hourly
