Job Title: Dock Master

Location: Stamford, CT

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dock Master to oversee the operations of Harbor Point Marinas. The Dock Master will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of all docking operations, managing staff, and providing excellent customer service to boaters and guests.

Responsibilities of the Dock Master:

Oversee all aspects of the docking operations, including assigning slips, managing dockage fees, and coordinating dock maintenance.

Ensure the safe arrival and departure of boats, assisting with docking and undocking procedures as needed.

Manage a team of dockhands, providing training, guidance, and supervision.

Maintain a clean and organized dock area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Provide exceptional customer service to boaters and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and security, to ensure smooth operations.

Manage inventory of dock supplies and equipment, replenishing as needed.

Assist with special events and activities, such as boat shows and regattas, as required.

Responsible for leasing all boat slips for both the Summer and Winter seasons

Requirements of the Dock Master:

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in marine operations or a related field.

Strong knowledge of boating safety practices and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
