Duties
  • Creates, writes and distributes a wide variety of material to communicate information about BLM issues, programs and activities to key publics within established guidelines.
  • Adheres to the policies, procedures, and processes, needed to develop, implement, and sustain internal and external websites and social media presence (Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, the State Office's public website).
  • Drafts publications in both traditional and digital formats.
  • Develops content for strategic communications plans, leadership briefings, and congressional communications.
  • Develops and maintains professional, proactive, credible relationships with media outlets, including traditional and new media outlets, providing timely, accurate and when possible, news coverage.
  • Works with district staff to provide support to internal NEPA, recreation, wild horse and burro, resources and mineral programs.
