Stomp, the Stampede Mascot, is responsible for entertaining fans and being involved in various in-game promotional and entertainment activations. Stomp is a primary ambassador of the Stampede brand. He is seen at all home games, as well as at events in the community. This position reports to the Director of Game Day Operations and is a part-time position.

Qualified applicants may be selected to take part in an audition this summer.

Essential Duties
  • Learn and act out the mannerisms of the Stomp Character.
  • Responsible for visiting and entertaining fans. This includes but is not limited to, interacting with fans on the concourse, seating areas, and suite level.
  • Being part of skits and on-ice promotions, as well as skating out during team introductions.
  • Display enthusiasm and high energy at all times.
  • Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character – including body language and mannerisms, attitude, and fan interaction.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Take care of the costume and props when in your possession.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Outgoing personality – able to bring the character to life.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
  • Dance or other performance experience is a plus (not required).
  • Previous experience as a mascot actor is a plus (not required).
  • The ability to skate is highly preferred
  • Ideal candidates will have a height between 5' 7" and 6' 1"
