Job Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible Construction Flaggers to join our construction team The Construction Flagger will play a meaningful role in ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic in and around construction sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a dedication to safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Direct and control traffic, following established safety procedures and regulations
  • Communicate optimally with drivers, crew, and pedestrians to ensure a clear understanding of traffic patterns and instructions
  • Use hand signals, flags, and other signaling devices to guide traffic and ensure safe passage through construction zones
  • Supervise traffic flow and adjust traffic control measures as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of vehicles
  • Collaborate with construction crew members to coordinate flagging operations with ongoing construction activities
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, such as cones, signs, and barricades, in accordance with guidelines
  • Report any safety hazards, violations, or accidents to supervisors or appropriate personnel
Skills
  • Previous experience as a Construction Flagger or similar role is preferred but not required
  • Ability to give clear and concise instructions regarding traffic modifications
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to remain focused and alert in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Education
  • High School diploma/GED
Work Environment
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditions
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
