Job Description

The Global Product Security - Security Program Management team is looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager with strong security experience who can take a key role in defining and leading programs that drive the next generation of software security improvements. You will be using your expertise in analysis and program management while working across the organization to define, recommend and lead the direction of key security programs.

This is a Remote role based anywhere in the US with a preference for candidates in the West Coast.

As a member of the Global Product Security (GPS), Security Program Management team you will have widespread impact and develop and implement comprehensive security assurance strategies that encompass security training, threat modeling, supply chain security, vulnerability management, secure coding practices, and secure deployment. You will work closely with development, operations, and product security teams to ensure the integration of security practices into the software development lifecycle. You will establish and monitor key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of security programs and provide regular reports to senior leadership on program status, risk and improvements.

As a part of GPS, you will play a critical role in protecting our software services and customer data from security threats and be at the forefront of security innovation and contribute to state-of-the-art security solutions.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

As part of the Global Product Security-Security Program Management team, you will be responsible for leading, designing and driving innovative security projects across interdepartmental teams.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Define security program strategy and roadmap to deliver secure products that our customers love
  • Define and analyze key engagement and quality of key performance metrics
  • Lead organization-wide, cross-functional teams to achieve security assurance program goals
  • Have a deep understanding of the security assurance market and industry trends and their impacts
  • Make recommendations about the direction of security programs based on analytical review and audits

What You Will Bring - Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Technical Program Management working with engineering organizations
  • Demonstrable experience translating company needs into innovative and detailed product requirements for online products/services
  • Highly motivated, with a sense of urgency and ability to deliver multiple tasks
  • Big problem solver, who can be both strategic and able to dive into details as needed
  • An effective communicator across the organization with technical leaders, strategic planners, and experienced developers
  • Experience in security analysis, ML, and the ability to audit security or forensic reports.
  • Experience with security monitoring applications, vulnerability scoring mechanisms and scanning tools
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing environment and needs
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a great collaborator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communications
  • Strong security assurance foundation
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) are desirable.
  • Knowledge of Open Source Software usage and the related security concerns
  • Exceptional ability to negotiate and collaborate across groups to achieve customer success
  • Knowledge of common security frameworks and Software Bill of Materials formats is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Agile, Scrum)

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
