We expect to fill two vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available.

Duties
  • These positions serve as a Geologist for the Canyon Country District.
  • Assures maximum economic recovery of mineral deposits through review of industry operating plans for exploration, development, and extraction of minerals.
  • Processes applications for mining laws, mineral materials, oil and gas, and non-energy mineral management.
  • Reviews and assists with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) development.
  • Interprets analytical results of waste rock, tailing, heap material, brines, surface and groundwater sampling to determine the proper handling for mine plans and reclamation efforts.
  • Prepares and manages Intra-agency and Cooperative Agreements with other Federal agencies and State partners.
