Banyan Search is assisting a growing Charlotte investment and development company with the search for a Controller.

This position will work closely with the CFO for the organization and will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company and its various affiliates.

The Controller is also responsible for the accuracy of the companys reported financial results, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities for the Controller position will include:

  • Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Maintenance and review of budgets
  • Oversee and manage the accounting team
  • Manage accounting operations of subsidiary corporations
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are timely completed
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Assist with providing information to external tax return preparers
  • Comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings

Qualified Controller candidates will possess:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Business Adm
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience working with QuickBooks
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to provide suggestions for process improvements
