Permit Facilitator

The town of Dartmouth is seeking a full-time Permit Facilitator for 40 hours per week. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing the orderly operation of the Building Department while working closely with the Director of Inspectional Services and Inspectors to coordinate administrative and clerical support of the department's functions. This position provides support in relaying to the general public and contractors the procedure for securing permits and sign-offs in other departments while following up on the permitting sequence for all applications. The Permit Facilitator will check work as required and may need to troubleshoot support problems for the Director of Inspectional Services. An associate degree in business management or related field is required; five years of responsible permitting and secretarial work; or an equivalent combination of 30 minimum credits towards an associate's degree in business management and a minimum of seven years' experience in permitting; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this position is $21.97-$28.80 per hour.
