The City of Irvine is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Payroll Technician. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and timekeeping duties and demonstrate knowledge with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to build a career in payroll administration.
Your Impact
Associate's degree in accounting or related field.Two years' experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping or related field.Basic knowledge of computerized spreadsheet applications required.May require a valid California driver's license.Best Fit
Demonstrates a solid understanding of payroll and timekeeping practices.Familiarity with government payroll processes, especially in the public safety sector.Provides excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll matters.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Basic understanding of FLSA rules and regulations.Proficient in using Excel.Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized and possess time management skills.Experience using IntelliTime Virtual Timecard Interface (VTI).Your Team
