Sutter Roseville Medical Center (SRMC), a Sutter Health affiliate, is actively recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the full-time position of Neurology Residency Training Program Director in Roseville, CA (Sacramento Metro Area).
The Sutter Health network is a leader in neurological care. Our Neuroscience Institutes in both the Bay Area and Sacramento/Central Valley are leaders in advanced neurological care in Northern California. In fact, Sutter Roseville is designated by the Joint Commission as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. The Program Director will have access to clinical trials and multidisciplinary team collaboration across nationally recognized stroke and epilepsy programs; and Patient-centric and active, well respected Neuroscience inpatient service at SRMC.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Strong support and collaboration from GME and Clinical Medical Group.
- GME at SRMC: Existing ACGME-accredited programs in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and General Surgery.
- Patient Caseload & Census at SRMC: Ambulatory Neurology practice is well supported and extremely busy. The 2022 ED annual census was over 97,000; Average daily census is 332 inpatients; and SRMC employs over 2,600 full-time employees.
- Access to Extensive Health Network, including acute care hospitals, physician care centers, ambulatory care settings, visiting nurse and hospice agencies, and behavioral health centers throughout Northern California and Hawaii. Sutter's network of 23 community hospitals serves diverse communities in both urban and rural settings.
- Sutter Medical Group (SMG): Recognized as a Top Performing Physician Group by the Integrated Healthcare Association. The position will be employed by Sutter Medical Group.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Director of the GME Neurology Residency Program has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, and promotion of residents, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care. The Program Director is responsible for the standards, quality, reputation, and ongoing improvement of the Neurology Residency Program.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent.
- Necessary qualifications include board certification or eligibility (ABPN or AOBNP), eligibility for a California medical license, and suitable clinical and teaching experience.
- Experience as Core Faculty, Program Director, Assistant/Associate Program Director, or Site Director in an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program. Preferably, have experience in starting GME programs from the ground-up.
