Summary

You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Material Division, Department of Energy (Naval Reactors) Material Office, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.



Duties
  • You will be responsible for warehousing operations (i.e., receiving, shipping, storing, issuing) involving components and equipment in four occupied warehouses.
  • You will unload and process incoming material shipments.
  • You will perform a visual inspection of items for shipping damage and technical violations and annotate any discrepancies identified.
  • You will determine proper warehouse storage locations based on specific technical storage requirements of the material and maximum utilization of warehouse space.
  • You will determine weight and cube of material for consolidation into truckloads.
  • You will operate material handling equipment to stow and pull material and to conduct physical inventories.
