Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time

The AWS Applications ("Apps") organization builds full-stack products that solve enterprise problems for non-technical business users - and if you've ever used Amazon Chime, Amazon WorkDocs, "Just Walk[ed] Out" of an Amazon Go store, or hustled out of Whole Foods after paying with your palm, you're already familiar with our technology and offerings.

And now, we want you to join our team

The Apps PXT (aka HR) team is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our PXT team, partner with senior leaders to create and drive people and business initiatives, and cultivate identity and culture within the organization.

You'll use your stellar business acumen and influencing skills to imagine, drive, and execute on the full breadth of HR domain areas across our global business.

This role will be based in Seattle, WA.

This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in the office) because we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we're in the office surrounded by our colleagues.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with PXT team members and business leaders to create and execute people strategy, develop senior leaders, and mitigate risks across the organization
  • Engage with senior leaders and specialist subject matter experts - such as Talent Management, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc. - to define and tackle organizational challenges
  • Think big about how to implement longer-term strategic initiatives like workforce planning, HR/PXT effectiveness, and career development
  • Work with the business to define and drive organizational health metrics, lead talent reviews, and champion ID&E initiatives
  • Develop and execute a life-cycle approach to HR programs such as performance management, compensation cycles, and talent management by assessing organizational performance, defining talent gaps and proposing solutions in support of business objectives
  • Coach and consult on organizational design and management issues, as well as challenging and/or influencing decision-making processes
  • Streamline and implement new processes to create speed, efficiency and agility within the organization
  • Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention
  • Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
