Duties

This IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) position is located in Enterprise Support (ES), Information Technology, (IT) Applications Development Division (ADD) Agile & Mobile Services Branch (AMSB), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Under minimal direction, applies analytical processes to plan, design, document, and support the implementation of new or improve existing application software to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact on projects, programs, and other work activities. Presents briefings to obtain consensus/approval; provides expert technical advice, guidance and assistance to the manager and key management officials.
  • Leads multifunctional development projects in software analysis, design, development and implementation of new system.
  • Develops projects plans and associated task, identifies resource requirements and reports on progress of projects.
The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band (I Band) performs the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex.
