Active KY or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; Amercian Heart Association BLS valid for at least 6 months from hire date

Physical Requirements
Staff must be able to push/pull at least 50lbs.

Staff must be able to provide excellent and efficient primary patient care in a transport setting (by ground in an ambulance, rotary aircraft or fixed-wing aircraft).


Shift
Must be available to work two 12 hour shifts every weekend (7p-7:30a). Must also be available for some holidays and to take call. This is a Weekend Premium Plan (WEPP) position.

Job Summary

The position of the ECMO specialist is necessary for the safe, effective and efficient care of the patient on ECMO.


Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Critical thinking, attention to detail, flourishes in high pressure situations, able to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Experience in the care of ECMO/ECLS patients strongly preferred
